Howdy!
Pictured: Me (right), workin’.
I’m Sam Swanson, an NYC based video editor, producer, and content creator.
I got my start working on music videos for indie bands and video sketches with young comedy writers in Dallas, TX, eventually making my way into producing work for larger clients in NYC. I specialize in social media content, video podcasts, and motion graphics (but I do love to dive into kitsch, campy, lo-fi special effects and edits when a project calls for it). No matter who I’m working with - from small independent artists to gigantic B2B financial firms - I always make sure to deliver my final cuts on time and far beyond expectations. Whether I’m deep in the edit on a project, helping film an interview for a documentary, or coming up with a short-but-sweet intro/outro graphic and copy for a podcast, I love the creative challenges that come with making fun, exciting media.
I’m fluent with the entire Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, and DaVinci Resolve, comfortable shooting with DSLR and iPhone cameras. I’m also experienced pitching ideas and writing copy, YouTube & Google SEO. I’m imaginative, malleable to any working situation, and I stay on top of the latest editing trends in film, video, and social media.
